Create this impressive, layered Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle. This no-bake dessert combines creamy chocolate cheesecake, Irish cream flavor, and crunchy cookie layers for a showstopping treat perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (prepared according to package directions and crumbled, or use store-bought chocolate cake pieces)
  • Chocolate shavings or extra cookie crumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to package directions, let it cool completely, and then break it into bite-sized pieces or crumble it. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup of the Baileys Irish Cream until fully combined. Set this cheesecake mixture aside.
  3. In a separate, chilled bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Reserve about 1/3 of this mixture for the top layer.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix, cold milk, and the remaining 1/4 cup of Baileys Irish Cream until the pudding thickens, about 2 minutes.
  5. Assemble the trifle in a large glass bowl or individual serving cups. Start with a layer of crumbled chocolate cake pieces on the bottom.
  6. Add a layer of the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies over the cake.
  7. Spoon half of the Baileys cheesecake mixture evenly over the cookie layer.
  8. Spoon half of the chocolate pudding mixture over the cheesecake layer.
  9. Repeat the layers: cake pieces, remaining crushed cookies, remaining cheesecake mixture, and finally, the remaining chocolate pudding mixture.
  10. Top the trifle with the reserved plain whipped cream mixture.
  11. Chill the trifle for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.
  12. Before serving, garnish the top with chocolate shavings or extra cookie crumbs.

Notes

  • For individual trifle cups, layer ingredients in small glasses for an elegant presentation.
  • If you want a stronger liqueur flavor, you can lightly brush the cake pieces with a small amount of extra Baileys before layering.
  • Use a store-bought chocolate cake or brownies to save time on this no-bake dessert.
