Make the best homemade burger sauce that tastes like your favorite restaurant’s special sauce. This creamy, tangy condiment comes together in just five minutes using simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt to the bowl.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Add a pinch more salt or paprika for depth.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the burger sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to blend well.
  6. Serve this special sauce generously on your smash burgers, as a fry dip, or on sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a Big Mac Style Sauce copycat flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of finely minced white onion to the mix.
  • If you prefer a tangier sauce, increase the white vinegar by one teaspoon.
  • This sauce is excellent as a condiment for fries or as a creamy burger spread.
