Make this simple, flavorful olive dip in just 10 minutes. This no-bake recipe is perfect for a last-minute party appetizer or a savory snack for crackers and vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pitted green olives, drained and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup pitted black olives, drained and roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese, chopped green olives, chopped black olives, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the mixture until it is mostly smooth but still has some texture. Do not over-process; you want a creamy spread, not a liquid.
  3. Taste the dip and add more pepper or a pinch of salt if needed, depending on the saltiness of your olives.
  4. Transfer the olive dip to a serving bowl.
  5. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if using.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers, pita chips, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a slightly tangier flavor, substitute 2 tablespoons of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop the olives by hand and mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl using a sturdy spoon or hand mixer.
  • This dip is best served cold or at room temperature.
