Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup pitted green olives, drained and roughly chopped
1/2 cup pitted black olives, drained and roughly chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional garnish: fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese, chopped green olives, chopped black olives, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
Process the mixture until it is mostly smooth but still has some texture. Do not over-process; you want a creamy spread, not a liquid.
Taste the dip and add more pepper or a pinch of salt if needed, depending on the saltiness of your olives.
Transfer the olive dip to a serving bowl.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if using.
Serve immediately with crackers, pita chips, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a slightly tangier flavor, substitute 2 tablespoons of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop the olives by hand and mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl using a sturdy spoon or hand mixer.
This dip is best served cold or at room temperature.
