  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup chilled eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Extra whipped topping and nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for two minutes until slightly thickened.
  2. Whisk in the chilled eggnog and optional rum extract until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until just combined, creating a velvety eggnog filling.
  4. Pour the creamy eggnog filling into the prepared graham cracker crust.
  5. Sprinkle the top evenly with 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
  6. Cover the pie loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm. This is a great make ahead christmas dessert.
  7. Before serving, top with additional whipped topping and a final dusting of nutmeg. Slice and serve this festive pie.
