2 inches fresh turmeric root, peeled
1 large lemon, peeled
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)
1/4 cup filtered water (optional, for blending)
Instructions
Prepare your juicer or high-speed blender. If using a juicer, feed the peeled ginger, turmeric, and lemon through the chute.
If using a blender, roughly chop the ginger, turmeric, and lemon. Place them in the blender with the black pepper and water (if using). Blend until completely smooth.
If you blended the mixture, strain the pulp through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing firmly to extract all liquid. Discard the pulp or save it for later use.
