Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces fresh goat cheese (chèvre), softened
2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons honey, plus more for drizzling
1/4 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped
Instructions
Place the softened goat cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into the bowl of a food processor.
Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes.
Transfer the whipped goat cheese dip to a serving bowl.
Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of honey over the top of the dip.
Sprinkle the chopped toasted pecans evenly over the honey.
Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or fresh vegetables for a quick entertaining recipe.
Notes
To toast pecans, spread them on a dry skillet over medium heat and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant. Let them cool before chopping.
For a festive holiday appetizer, substitute the pecans with toasted walnuts or dried cranberries.
If you do not have a food processor, you can use a hand mixer, but you may need to add a little more cream to reach a smooth consistency.
This makes a great gourmet cheese spread for sandwiches or toast.
