Make this creamy, tangy whipped goat cheese dip in minutes. It is a perfect, easy appetizer for parties or holiday gatherings, topped with sweet honey and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fresh goat cheese (chèvre), softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the softened goat cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Transfer the whipped goat cheese dip to a serving bowl.
  4. Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of honey over the top of the dip.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped toasted pecans evenly over the honey.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or fresh vegetables for a quick entertaining recipe.

Notes

  • To toast pecans, spread them on a dry skillet over medium heat and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant. Let them cool before chopping.
  • For a festive holiday appetizer, substitute the pecans with toasted walnuts or dried cranberries.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can use a hand mixer, but you may need to add a little more cream to reach a smooth consistency.
  • This makes a great gourmet cheese spread for sandwiches or toast.
